A Travellerspoint blog

We can hardly believe that we were standing on the Great Wall of China. It was created by Emperor Qin after he unified China in 200 BC. This is the same man who was a nasty tyrant and had great ideas. More about him after we go to the Terracotta Warriors. It was expanded to encompass Beijing in the 1500's during the Ming Dynasty and stretches from Korea to Kazakhstan.

Here we are! We didn't climb to the end as it is 12500 km long and we didn't have that much time. However, we did climb up and took some pictures. Please look at them closely as you will see people climbing in all of them.

Looking good but I don't know why you didn't walk the whole wall!
